    • Please join us for the next “Neighborhood Clean-Up” event on August 28th at 10am.  Meet at Newstead and Manchester.  Great way to meet neighbors and make the neighborhood better.  Trash bags and gloves provided.  
  • Please join us for the “FPSE Neighborhood Night Out” which will be on September 11th at 5:30pm in Chouteau Park.  FPSENA will provide a food truck, drinks, yard games, music, raffle for local businesses. Info tables provided by local organizations, the Fire and Police Departments.  
  • We’re seeking volunteers
  • We’d love to borrow yard games!
  • 10:15 Alderwoman Sweet-T requested we announce a “Save the Date” for the next neighborhood association meeting September 21st at 6:45p, to feature guest speaker Lux Living, a developer who has proposed new construction along Kingshighway (the former Drury owned parcels).  
  • 11:40  Alderwoman Sweet-T requested we announce that Narwall’s has proposed a development at 4014 Chouteau.  Narwall’s previously spoke to PCD’s Development Committee but has changed their design and will present the update at PCD, date TBD.
  • St. Louis Shakespeare Festival to perform a 1.5 hr version of Othello at Friday, Aug 20 at Chouteau Park

  • How to become a member of FPSENA?  Membership requires a dues payment, but we follow a “pay what you can” model (suggested $10 donation).  To make a donation or pay dues, please use CashApp handle which is $FPSENA.  We also take checks and cash.  Email us with questions.
  • $14.99 is our monthly Zoom cost
  • We will have more expenses to report next month for the upcoming Neighborhood Night Out event.

14:43 FPSENA Board Voted in favor of expanding the boundaries of the FPSENA Neighborhood Association to include residents of Kings Oak.

16:12  Park Central Development Updates (Alayna Graham)

  • Grove CID 
    • Banner project has been permitted by the city; expect to see the new banners installed along Manchester soon
    • Grove Signs have been re-installed; they light up again!
    • CID will be sponsoring the upcoming events
      • Moonlight Ramble 
      • Manchester Bike Bash is the before & after party for the World Naked Bike Ride, Aug 28th
      • OctoberFest is September 25th
      • Grove Fest is October 2nd
      • Flyover Comedy festival will be in November

19:05  Brickline Greenway Update presented by Shaughnessy Daniels of Great Rivers Greenway.  More info: https://greatriversgreenway.org/brickline/

  • Great Rivers Greenway is a tax-payer funded regional agency (focused on STL city, county, and St. Charles) that has already developed 16 active greenways, including 120+ miles of existing trails.
  • Brickline Greenway will be like a linear park and will have up to 20 miles of walking/biking paths across 17 neighborhoods.  
  • Project is currently in the community engagement phase.  Already had a design competition, 13 steering committees, engagement with artists, utility companies, etc.
  • Goals: Connect the former Chouteau’s pond area to new Cortex area; including developments like Armory and Foundry.  Connect Tower Grove Park to Fountain Park, from Grand to 20th, and from Harris Stowe to MLS Stadium.
  • Focus on equitable outcomes when planning with SLDC.
  • 35:20 Cost is estimated at $245 million dollars, paid by combining some tax money, some federal grants, and some private funding from investors.

40:36 Moonlight Ramble Schedule & Street Closures (Matt Helbig)

  • Saturday Aug 21st at 10pm is the Moonlight Ramble.  It’s the longest running night-time bike year in the USA.  Started in 1964, this is the 57th edition.  This will be the first time the ride will start in the Grove neighborhood.  Ride is followed by the Festival with vendors and restaurants.  All-ages event.  Riders can stop at newly opened Foundry.
