Burn Awareness Week is January 31 – February 6, 2016

It is important to know about all types of safety.  This month we are talking about fire safety.  The information below is from the Burn Fund Organization.  They are offering materials for classrooms.  I encourage you to check out the material and to refer anyone who might be able to use the materials in their classrooms.

January 31 – February 6, 2016

Burn Awareness Week teaches kids how to be responsible for their personal safety, and increases family awareness of potentially harmful situations.

The program is educational, fun and interactive, and includes a popular colouring contest. It is designed to be delivered in the classroom with age-appropriate safety lessons for K-7. However, anyone can access the program, which includes burn awareness safety tip information, student activity sheets, quizzes, colouring pages, and animated videos. The program is available in PDF format for easy download and printing.
